2011 Street Overlay
Project
Over the next several weeks, the City will complete its annual
street overlay project. Neighborhoods selected this year include
the Reinwood and Laurel Hills Neighborhoods, as well as on NE
203rd Place, from 156th Avenue NE to just west of 163rd Avenue
NE. The City of Woodinville
has contracted with Lakeside Industries to complete the paving
operation. The construction work will occur Monday through Friday
from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Work is scheduled to begin on August
15. The paving operation will begin August 22, and will take
approximately 2-weeks. All work is projected for completion
by the end of September.
The paving schedule and project notifications will be placed
on A-boards posted at the entrances to the neighborhoods and
intermittently throughout the project. Before work begins, parking
signs will be posted along the edge of the roadway. Please take
necessary steps to move all parked vehicles off the
shoulder of the roadway, as this will help to avoid project
delays and towing of vehicles. Additional information will be
provided via letters and door hangers to all residents affected
by the construction work.
Each year the City of Woodinville completes an annual street
overlay project on selected City streets. The overlay is a structural
improvement that applies two-inches of new asphalt over the
existing roadway providing drivers with a smooth new surface,
and reduces maintenance costs while extending the life of the
roadway.
The project update and street vicinity map can be found on the
City's website at www.ci.woodinville.wa.us/CityHall/ProjectRoads.asp.

NE 171st St Retaining Wall
Project
In 2007, the City of Woodinville experienced significant flooding
in several areas around town. This flooding also caused damage
to the slope along NE 171 st Street. Damage included erosion
of the roadway embankment, which created a weakened road shoulder.
To correct this damage, a new retaining wall will be constructed
along NE 171 st Street between 143rd PL NE and NE 173rd St .
UPDATE 9/16/2009-NE 171st St ROAD
CLOSURE: On September 21 st through September 26th
, NE 171st St will be closed to all traffic in both directions
for the duration of the week. During this time, the City of
Woodinville and its contractor will construct a retaining wall
along NE 171 st St between 143rd PL NE and NE 173rd St. to repair
damage that occurred to this section of the roadway during floods
in 2007. The City will install signs along the road to indicate
the detour route which will be through the Reinwood neighborhood

2009 Street Overlay Project
The City has contracted a roadway overlay project on selected
streets in the Winchester Hills and Kingsgate areas. This project
is a continuation of last year's pavement overlay project and
will improve sections of the road and sidewalk that are currently
in poor condition. The work was awarded to CEMEX Construction
Materials Pacific, LLC.
Construction will begin within the first two weeks of September,
and continue through the middle of October. Construction
will occur on the sidewalks and wheel chair ramps within the
neighborhoods, for approximately 3-weeks, followed by two weeks
of grinding and paving the roadways. Work within the roadway
will occur between 7:00am and 6:00pm Monday through Friday.
Door hangers giving notice of the intended work schedule
will be provided to all residents affected by the construction
work. If you have any questions regarding the overlay
project, please contact Matt Ellis at 425.489.2700. Efforts
will be made to minimize any impact to the public.

2008 Street Overlay Project
The City completed the pavement resurfacing project on selected
streets in the Winchester Hills area and Kingsgate area in late
2008. The work consisted of grinding the existing pavement along
the curb and gutter, paving the entire roadway with new asphalt
(curb to curb), installing pavement markings, and adjusting
utilities. Please see the vicinity map for the locations
of the overlay project. Vicinity
