The City's Crime Prevention Program engages neighborhoods,
businesses, individuals and groups in understanding the importance
of crime prevention. The Program includes:
Neighborhood Block Watch or Business Block
Watch: Meet with the Crime Prevention Coordinator and City
police officer to learn how to organize your neighborhood or
business complex as a Block Watch (BW). Select a BW Captain
to be the liaison between your neighborhood and the City. Learn
how to create a phone tree to contact your BW neighbors quickly.
As a formal Block Watch, you'll receive Police Alerts via email.
Block Watch signs (customized or standard) are available to
active BW communities. Cost of signs is paid by home/business
owners and installed by the City.
Operation Identification: Learn how to
mark personal property with an identification number that assists
in returning stolen property recovered through a crime investigation.
Site Security Checks: Schedule a site
security check with the Crime Prevention Officer and a Police
Officer to learn how to make it more difficult for a burglar
to enter your home or business.
House Check Request
Educational Materials: Download the informational
materials posted to this web page. Share them with your neighbors.
