Kinetic Art Sculpture “In Cloud Light III” Installed on NE 171st St and 135th Ave NE

WOODINVILLE, WA. – The City of Woodinville is pleased to share that Woodin Creek Village Associates, LLC installed the kinetic art sculpture at the roundabout on NE 171st St and 135th Ave NE. In March of 2017, the Woodinville City Council accepted the donation of the sculpture for the roundabout on NE 171st St.

The sculpture titled “In Cloud Light III” is produced by artist Anthony Howe, whose home and gallery are located on Orcas Island, Washington. Howe has designed kinetic sculptures across the globe, most recently for the 2016 Brazil Rio Olympics and 2016 Oscars.

The sculpture sits at over 25 feet high; from afar, it resembles a windmill, when both still and in motion. It fits the character of the agricultural area while featuring abstract and modern materials.

Questions regarding the sculpture can be directed to Assistant to the City Manager Kellye Mazzoli either by phone: 425-877-2266 or by email: kellyem@ci.woodinville.wa.us.
