Park Play Structures Closed for Replacement Late August – Late September 2017
WOODINVILLE, WA. – Both park play structures at Wilmot Gateway Park and Woodinville Heights Park will be closed for replacement late August- late September 2017.
The equipment will be replaced because each structure has reached the end of its usable life cycle. To arrive at the selected equipment designs, multiple design options were presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission in May for consideration.

Ultimately, two design options for each park were selected based on a variety of criteria (e.g., budget, available area, play experience, surrounding landscape, and maintenance). Those two design options were taken to local elementary schools for voting (Woodmoor, Woodin, Wellington & Hollywood Hills). Over 1,600 students weighed in on the final selections that were presented to and approved by the City Council in June.

The City appreciates the community’s patience as the play structures are replaced. Any questions regarding the play structure equipment replacement can be directed to Asha D’Souza, Assistant Public Works Director, by email: ashad@ci.woodinville.wa.us or by phone: 425-877-2291.
