Employment Benefits
The City of Woodinville offers employees a comprehensive benefits package. Features for regular employees include:
- Ten paid holidays plus one floating holiday per year.
- Ten paid vacation days per year, thirteen paid vacation days per year after one year of service, fifteen paid vacation days per year after four years of service, eighteen paid vacation days per year after seven years of service, twenty-four paid vacation days per year after eleven years of service.
- Eight hours of paid sick leave accrued per month.
- Participation in the State of Washington Department of Retirement Systems - Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS).
- Participation in the Municipal Employees' Benefit Trust (MEBT) - social security replacement plan.
- Tax-deferred optional retirement plan - 457.
- Tuition reimbursement program (after completion of trial period). Limitations apply.
- Flexible work schedule opportunities. Limitations apply.
- Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program.
- Medical Insurance through Regence BlueShield or Group Health. The City pays 100% of the cost for employees and 90% of the cost for family coverage. (Amounts are pro-rated for part-time employees.)
- Dental Insurance through Washington Dental Service or Willamette Dental. The City pays 100% of the cost for employees and their families.
- Vision Insurance through Vision Services Plan. The City pays 100% of the cost for employees and their families.
- Basic life insurance policy in the amount of $110,000 paid 100% by the City.
- Long-Term Disability Insurance.
- Employee Assistance Program. (Counseling sessions for employees and family members.)
- Membership in the Eastside Municipal Employees Credit Union.
Regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible for insurance benefits beginning the first day of the month following their hire date. The City also offers a variety of supplemental insurance options that employees can choose from based on their individual and family needs.
