The City of Woodinville has switched to new
and improved permit software on February 26, 2018. Citizens and applicants will have access to online inspections, permit
tracking, and application submittal.
The next phase of the transition to new software, the City of Woodinville will be phasing out mybuildingpermit.com.
Application submittals and inspection requests will not be accepted through mybuildingpermit.com after May 1, 2018.
Individuals who frequently do business
with the City are encouraged to register
for a free account, which enables users to submit applications and schedule inspections.

Although we encourage you to use the Citizen Access Portal, applications issued prior to February 26, 2018 may continue to use mybuildingpermit.com through May 1, 2018 for inspection requests.
May 2, 2018 – Online Applications Accepted on the Citizen Access Portal
Launching in May 2018, customers will be able to use the Citizen Access Portal to apply for permits, and submit plans for many types of permits online. This includes Building, Fire, Demolition, Signs, Engineering, Right-of-Way, Tree Removal, and more! Paying for permits online will be coming soon. How to Schedule Inspections
1.On your computer or phone go to here
2.You do not need an account to check the status of permits or to schedule inspections.
3.Type in your permit number in the search bar and press enter.
4.The permit screen will appear with information about the permit such as status and project details.
5.Click the Record Info button and then click on Inspections. This will show all inspections on the project.
6.Click on the “Schedule or Request an Inspection” link
7.Click on the Inspections you would like to schedule. Enter a date, contact information, and comments.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Woodinville need to update permitting software?
Development Services is using a legacy system that was implemented in 2001 and is no longer supported with available updates. New software at this time is necessary to keep up with service demand and changes in technology. The new permitting software provides significant advantages to help staff respond to citizen needs and serve customers more effectively.
How will the update affect customers?
Starting on May 2, 2018, customers will be able to use the Citizen Access Portal to request inspections. Citizens will be able to apply for a number of permits in through the Citizen Access Portal.
The Department will continue to maintain mybuildingpermit.com through May 2018 for existing customers that wish to continue to use the system for inspection requests and permit submittals. Starting June 1, 2018, the department will not be using mybuildingpermit.com. All inspections and permit submittals will need to be through the Citizen Access Portal.
Will I still be able to use mybuildingpermit.com?
No. After May 2, 2018, you will need to use the Accela Citizen Access Portal instead of mybuildingpermit.com. We will continue checking mybuildingpermit.com for a short period of time after the May 2, 2018 transition. By the end of May, we will no longer be checking mybuildingpermit.com. Any submissions or inspection requests will not be added to Accela from mybuildingpermit.com.
What can I do in the Citizen Access Portal?
As of May 2, 2018, you will be able to request an inspection and submit many types of permits through the Citizen Access Portal. Some of the permits you will be able to apply for online includes Building, Fire, Demolition, Signs, Engineering, Right-of-Way, Tree Removal, and more! All other permits will need to be applied for at the Development Services Department. To pay for permit, you will need to call Development Services at 425-489-2754 or come in to City Hall to pay. The online payment portal should be available in the next few weeks.
What if I want to call in my inspections?
No changes are being made to the inspection hotline. Customers can call 425-489-2754 to request inspections via phone.
