Now more than ever, Woodinville businesses need your support. As tightening public health restrictions encourage people to stick close to home, local businesses are struggling to stay afloat this holiday season.

The City of Woodinville is reminding and encouraging residents to support local shops, restaurants, and organizations. Much of planned holiday spending can be done close to home. The gifts you give and experiences you share are all the more meaningful when you know you're helping your community thrive.

Need inspiration for ways to adapt your consumer habits over the next month? Here's what you can do to provide support to local businesses:

  • Shop locally in person and online. Many smaller chains and independent stores now offer web purchase options, as well as curbside pick-up and private in-store shopping appointments.
  • Support your local arts organizations and artists by purchasing tickets to an online live performance or gifting an annual membership to family, friends, or even yourself!
  • Show love for your favorite neighborhood restaurants by ordering takeout, dining outdoors, and recommending to others on social media. The What’s Open Eastside online map shows which restaurants are open and their service options.
  • Stay in shape by taking online classes from your local gym or fitness studio.
  • Get (and give) gift cards. Purchasing gift cards now for post-COVID outings gives local shops, attractions and restaurants a boost when they need it most. Gift cards are also an easy way to shop for the holidays.
