Fish Sculpture decorated by Local Artists

Right now, there are many reasons to show love and compassion for one another. ❤️

Our hearts ache over the death of George Floyd and the troubles of the past few days. We mourn for friends and loved ones who have lost their lives to coronavirus while doing our best to stay positive and help neighbors in need. And with Pride Month upon us, we are proud to be a community that welcomes all people, no matter how they identify or who they love.

As a small gesture of our love for the community, the City asked local artists Nicole Monahan and Stacey Almgren, in consultation with the Woodinville Teen Arts Council, to decorate the Fish Sculpture on Woodinville-Duvall Rd with red fabric hearts. We hope that however you’re feeling, passing by the sculpture brings some amount of joy to your day.

We still have a lot of work to do together as a community and as a country. But one thing we do know: there can never be too much love in this world.
