Sports Fields Closed for Renovation June 18

Sports Fields Closed for Renovation Starting June 18
Posted on 06/14/2020

After a decade of providing a home for local soccer, baseball, and lacrosse teams, it's time for the Woodinville Sports Fields on the corner of 131st Ave NE and NE 175th St. to get a serious face-lift.

Starting June 18, 2020, the sports fields will be closed to users so that the existing turf can be pulled up and replaced with new artificial turf. Repairs will also be made to fences, benches, and netting where they currently show signs of wear. The project will be completed by the end of August for a total cost just shy of $1.6 million dollars.

The new cork artificial turf will be an upgrade to the current virgin rubber turf, offering a better playing surface with a feel closer to natural grass. Unlike rubber, cork turf has the added benefit of being recyclable. The new turf is expected to last 8-10 years once installed.

Parking near the Sports Fields during renovation will be limited, with the northern section closed to the public.

We hope you enjoy the new look and feel of the Woodinville Sports Fields just in time for the fall sports season!
