Take the Community Van

Need a Ride? Take the Woodinville Community Van!
Posted on 04/07/2021

For the past few years, the City of Woodinville has partnered with King County Metro, the City of Bothell, and UW Bothell to provide a community van service for local shared trips upon request. This service is designated to provide residents with customized options for getting around when bus service can't meet their needs.

Woodinville residents have access to the 6-passenger accessible van parked at City Hall and can schedule rides during the weekday, evenings, and weekends to Bothell or downtown Seattle to go shopping, attend medical appointments, and more. Trips are scheduled in advance and must have at least two passengers in addition to a volunteer driver.

Currently, the community van is being used to provide transport from Woodinville to Lumen Field in Seattle Tu-Fri, 10:00-5:00 for COVID-19 Vaccinations. To join this trip or suggest another trip popular with family and friends, contact Community Transportation Coordinator Kristi Dreessen at commvan@uw.edu or call 425-420-6514.

Community van riders pay a one-zone Metro fare while drivers travel for free. The Community Van Program is currently recruiting drivers. If interested, you can learn more and apply on the King County Metro website.
