The City of Woodinville is accepting applications for its Tourism Promotion Grant Program now through 12:00 pm on August 13, 2020. The goal of the program is to attract and welcome visitors to Woodinville throughout the year in order to stimulate the local economy and increase the number of overnight hotel stays. An estimated total of $82,700 in grant funding is available for 2021.

Tourism grant funding may be used to support an event, program, or activity designed to increase tourism by promoting the City as a tourism destination. Organizations eligible to receive grant funding include businesses and associations, as well as cultural, historical, educational, recreational, and community groups. Woodinville tourism promotion grants are paid by a portion of the one percent sales tax on hotel rooms located in Woodinville.

The Woodinville Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will evaluate qualifying applications on a competitive basis and provide a recommendation to City Council for approval. Tourism Promotion Grants are expected to be awarded in December, 2020.

Detailed requirements, evaluation criteria, and application information can be found in the Tourism Grant Application materials located in our Document Center.
